: There is a known error involving U-M Office 365 on Macs: 'In short, it offers (for free) exactly what Microsoft Office offers for a lot of money. These features are like a free Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and the rest of the components of the Office suite. Plus, the files created using Microsoft Office can be open and edited using LibreOffice and vice versa. Any new Mac will come with a free copy of Apple's Pages software, which is a hugely powerful tool for creating and editing documents, and also works well with its iOS/iPadOS counterpart app.

News and updates can be found on the HITS project page. The ITS-managed Microsoft 365 service for academic campuses is not permitted for Michigan Medicine business, education, patient care, or research use. Data or accounts created in Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive in the ITS-managed service cannot be migrated to the Michigan Medicine environment.
